Getting Website visitors to Convert to Customers is the Plan – Pt.4

Show Testimonials

You have to build confidence in the buyers mind. You started by answering their hidden questions, but you can reinforce it with real testimonials from actual clients.

Most photographers get great feedback anyway, just take it a step further. And by the way, there's nothing wrong with asking for feedback from your clients.

This not only might reveal weaknesses in your business if the clients are less than happy, but more than likely it will give you strong testimonials you can use on your site.

It’s not necessary to give anything more than a quote and a first name. If a client ever asks to call your referrals, only allow it after first checking with your referral and making sure it’s OK. Then the referral should call the new client, not the other way around. Honestly, I don’t think would ever happen, but be prepared if it does with real information. The better you did in the first step, the less likely it will happen.

A video testimonial carries a lot of weight and it’s so easy to produce. This example was produced on a small point and shoot camera, but it’s so easy today to grab a quick video with your cell phone at any location and any time. Just upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo and embed it into your testimonials page along with some text. Talk about eliminating doubt. Wow!
